Very characteristic young red wine, Monje Tradicional, from the traditional Canarian variety Listan negro and a small amount from Listan blanco and Negramoll.
Traditional production methods, like grape maceration in open tanks and the fermentation in old big oak barrels, were used in order to achieve higher expression of both, volcanic soils and the grape varieties.
There are many examples of traditional red wines in the Canary Islands, but Monje Tradicional is one of the most authentic red wines of them.
